Tanjore Painting is a type of painting that originated in Thanjavur, The Chola dynasty's capital.
Know about Tanjore Painting:
They are classical South Indian painting style. They are characterized by their rich and vivid colours, glittering gold foils, and inlay of glass beads and precious gems. These paintings are usually done on wooden planks. Here are also known as palagai padam (picture on a wooden plank) in local parlance. Most of these paintings have figures that are decorated with sparkly decorations and bold colours.
One special thing about Tanjore paintings is the chubby faces of the gods and goddesses. These paintings are often about stories from Hindu mythology. This gives each paintings a unique 3D feels.
Influences of Tanjore Paintings:

. Muck powder, a fine chalk powder, is also utilized to give the paintings a 3D effect.

The Lord with a divine look is in a reclining posture on the coiled five-headed king. The left leg is slightly titled and raised while the right leg is stretched out. With Moolavar behind, the Urchavar is standing in front on a lotus peetam with his consorts, Sridevi to his right and Bhudevi to the left who are in their sitting posture. Ranganayaki is standing separate on a lotus peetam. The God and Goddesses ornaments decorated gold foil are covered. Lord Ganesh
Most of the Tanjore are Hindu Gods and are painted Canvas but we do not use water here usage of kerosene. It gives a realistic work appearance.
